Rising Warmth with a few Detours

Started Jan. 2019

Theme

ceramics and conviviality

Method

gatherings around warm material

Clémentine Vaultier, trained as a ceramist, is as interested in the surroundings of the fire as in the production it engenders. Her research on how we raise, use and diffuse warmth connects the worlds of ceramics, performance and pedagogy. Creating, collecting and (re)arranging of technical, historical and archival material in dialogue with her own experimentations, she creates narratives around warmth and conviviality.
