This text voices the collective concerns that are currently guiding an ongoing working process developing a mapping portal in a partnership that consists of a collaboration between three artists (Ciel Grommen, Maximiliaan Royakkers, Clémentine Vaultier), an artist duo (Vermeir & Heiremans), and three organizations: Elephantmappers, nadine and the Danish organization f.eks. In a series of semi-fictitious dialogues we discuss a process of collective ‘counter-mapping’ that aims to create a more pluriverse form of map-making. The mapping portal aims to make visible what we find important in our practices; the flow of time, narratives, histories, relationships, situated knowledge and our interconnectedness.
