Kunst & Zwalm is a biannual art route in the Zwalm region, organised by BOEM vzw since 1997. The landscape is also a co-author of the route, as a carrier of the temporary rural arts trail. nadine took on the curatorship of K&Z 2019, and the joint curatorship of K&Z 2023 together with manoeuvre. For the edition of 2023 ‘water’ was chosen as a central theme, thus incorporating a current social debate into the creation process of this edition. The artistic projects develop gradually so that sustainable connections are made with local people, the landscape and the water. The proposed working method is co-creation in situ asking questions about, with, in and through water.
